“Travelers see what they want to see. Tourists see what they went to see”. G.K. Chesterton

When we think about social culture in the second decade of the XXI century, to analyze  terms and circumstances on the developing of this global knowledge of the World, we can not avoid to turn our head and look the cultural massive tourism – the blow up of the low costs – and its relationship with museums, cultural heritage, industrial heritage and their right planification.

Tourism it has been democratized and now it is available for almost all the social economic levels, now may be less because the global economic situation, but modeless anyone can take a walk outside. Countries without touristic industry on the cultural level they had to face a reaction because travelers want it all and they want it now. By the other side the countries with a permanent amount of tourist coming they are not acting as dummies and they want revenues from the foreign people. That is good for the currency running through the countries. We are happy about that, but…

This adaptation that any country that wants to hold touristic business must do things right, must stop and think, must get advises from professionals of the cultural and touristic management, we must avoid the “Chinese effect”: forgetting heritage, growing weak museums.

It sis highly important to have in mind that the process of getting all this touristic waterfall means planification under common sense, to manage heritage, museums and cultural touristic offer looking to the future. It is important to manage the cultural goods under conservation planning and restoration, mostly in cities were the heritage is important and looks abandoned (many sites). Same has to do with museums, its is necessary a deep planification, creating didactic museography with museological order. We must think on museum web even between countries (the Classic Culture Web sites, for instance), under the same plan.

In some countries people from the heritage responsibility are working more than others, this es crystal clear and the hard workers must be a reference to many others. Many countries in Europe, for instance, don’t give enough public money to heritage development when we understand that the future of Europe is to become a thematic park about ancient culture, as many others. We need to take care of our heritage, we can not avoid our responsibilities and politicians, please, trust professionals of the heritage.
